Georgia Highlands College STUDY ABROAD

Health Sciences are very important at GHC. In May 2018, Health Sciences will have a trip to Puerto Rico. While Puerto Rico is part of the United States, its Spanish-speaking society make it a perfect place to learn about a different culture. In addition, San Juan, Puerto Rico has numerous health care facilities, including a large VA hospital, that offer valuable learning experiences for Health Sciences students, all in the context of a predominately Latino society. Finally, old San Juan and the natural beauty of Puerto Rico’s beaches and rainforests make it a unique and attractive place to visit as well.
